Consumer withdrawal information
The intended Germany-first withdrawal flow for eligible distance contracts. This is not yet the final statutory instruction or model form.
Unavailable in development — live B2C checkout is disabled
1. Fourteen-day right
An eligible consumer generally has 14 days from conclusion of a distance service contract to withdraw without giving a reason, subject to the applicable statutory rules and proper instruction. The 20% first payment is not automatically or categorically nonrefundable merely because it was paid.
2. Optional immediate start
Checkout must present a separate, unticked request if the consumer wants Krill to begin before the 14-day period ends. Declining that request must not remove the order; work simply waits until the period has passed or another lawful start point applies. The request and required acknowledgment must be recorded on a durable medium.
3. Work performed before withdrawal
If the consumer validly asks for an early start and later withdraws, Krill may seek proportional compensation for services actually performed only where legally permitted and only if all required information and formalities were satisfied. The calculation must reflect documented performance, not elapsed time or an automatic 20% charge.
For a paid service, the right may expire after complete performance only when the statutory conditions are met, including the consumer's express prior consent and acknowledgment. Partial performance alone does not automatically extinguish the right.
4. Electronic withdrawal function
For covered online contracts, Krill intends to provide a continuously accessible and prominently placed electronic withdrawal function during the withdrawal period. It must collect the customer's name, the order or contract to withdraw, and an electronic channel for the receipt; require an unambiguous confirmation; and immediately send a durable confirmation containing the declaration, date, and time.
That function is not connected in this development build. Live B2C checkout must remain disabled until submission, timestamped receipt, records, authentication and support handling work end to end.
5. Refund route and contact
Approved withdrawal refunds are intended to return through the original Stripe payment method, not an in-app wallet, subject to statutory deadlines and any lawfully due proportional compensation. The final notice must contain the incorporated entity's name, address and working withdrawal contact. Those details are currently [pending].
